Jacoba Francisca Maria Cobie Smulders

Born in Vancouver to a Dutch father and an English mother, Jacoba Francisca Maria Smulders, nicknamed "Cobie", is not predestined to become an actress. Although she tried her hand at comedy in high school shows, she first began a modelling career. Along with her studies, she travels to Europe, Africa and Japan. And she still graduated with congratulations in 2000. 
 
Tired of the world of modelling that she considers too superficial, Cobie begins to pass the castings and finally turns to comedy. His career began with minor roles on television. She starred in the science fiction series Jeremiah in 2002 and also appeared in Tru Calling: Countdown as Sarah Webb. 
 
It is in 2003 that she obtains for the first time the main role in a series, she thus answers Eric Balfour in Veritas: The Quest. The show cancelled after a short season of 13 episodes. However, Cobie became known to the general public by joining the band of friends of How I Met Your Mother in 2005 where she played Robin Scherbatsky. Considered the new Friends, the sitcom was an immediate success and quickly became one of CBS's hits. 
 
With his newfound popularity, Cobie Smulders landed her first role in the cinema by playing Agent Maria Hill in the Marvel blockbusters ( The Avengers, Captain America The Winter Soldier ). A character that she takes up in the pilot of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD the series of Joss Whedon inspired precisely by the Marvel franchise.
