As for singles, the end of the year and the purchases of titles to prepare for New Year's Eve benefited PSY, which saw sales of its "Gangnam Style" go up all over the world. The Korean singer even took the opportunity to take the lead of the Digital Top in France and he keeps it this week even if sales have logically fallen, to 15,900 copies, a decline of 20% over one week. Second, will.i.am and Britney Spears are also immobile with "Scream & Shout"(12,700 sales, -16%) and things are not moving either in third and fourth positions for Adele and Rihanna.
The first attracted 10,700 buyers with "Skyfall" (-21%) while the second sold another 10,300 copies of its worldwide hit "Diamonds" (-23%). Bruno Mars completes the top 5 and puts an end to the status quo by climbing a level with "Locked Out of Heaven", fifth and downloaded 8,100 times (-15%).
Asaf Avidan, fifth last week, goes down one floor with "One Day / Reckoning Song" while Birdy and Alicia Keys swap places: the first is seventh up one floor with "People Help the People" (5,200 sales, -25%) while "Girl on Fire" of the second is eighth, down one level with 5,200 sales on the meter (-28%). Emeli Sandé, ninth, takes a place with "Read All About It" while "Le Poussin Piou" takes three places and brings up the rear in the top 10 with 4,000 additional sales (-10%).
A little lower, Carly Rae Jepsen takes advantage of the end-of-year purchases and brand-new mp3 players that are filled using iTunes cards: after taking 15 places last week with "Call Me Maybe", she takes two more and finds herself thirteenth ( 3,500 sales, -10%). The same story for Shy'm his hit "So what!" He also continues to climb and finds himself 37th, up to nine floors (1,700 sales, -3%).
